Cédric was born in France and attended École Boulle where he studied sculpture. He met Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo and Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk while attending high school in Paris.
As Daft Punk’s creative director, he has worked closely with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo for more than 15 years.
Hervet has helped shape their image and visuals, along with other collaborators, by designing Daft Punk’s album covers from the cover art, creative direction, and art direction for the Random Access Memories album, even co-producing their third album Human After All.
Cédric has been instrumental in creating the rich and imaginative visual universe around the band’s music, including the “Random Access Memories” campaign, the Alive world tours, the grammy performances with Kanye West, Steve Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, The Weeknd, and the band merchandising products and marketing.
He also co-wrote and co-produced Interstella 5555 and co-wrote and edited Daft Punk’s Electroma.
For almost three decades, Cédric Hervet has been the visionary creative director for Daft Punk. He co-directed most of Daft Punk’s music videos.
Cédric also has film credits as creative director on the Academy Award-winning animated short film, Logorama.
He is heavily influenced by craftsmanship — furniture, wood, and leather. Aside from creative directing, Hervet, along with his cousin Nicolas Hervet (who has received repeated honors in woodworking, marquetry, and sculpture) have been designing furniture and unique objects for years, and in 2014 they formed the French-based furniture design and manufacturing company——HervetManufacturier.
Now Cédric decided to move forward, so he is going to release his initial NFT——CUBEING with Realy.
